Machine quilting

Today I went to the exhibition From the Earth in Woerden. For me it was quiet a journey but worthwhile. The exhibition contains four artists: Els van Baarle, Cherilyn Martin, Jean Draper and Cas Holmes. All four of them very different but the Works shows also similarities. Very inspiring……Twenty years ago Cherilyn learned me machine quilting, it seems ages now. Ever since, I never hand quilted anymore,
I wonder if I still know how :-)
Today I started a new quilt. I have a new tactics for this one and I am curious if it will work. Usually I have a plan in my head but this time I start from nothing. My starting point is the dyed fabric, I only going to follow the lines from the dye. I have to confess that I have no clue which direction this is going. I just let it happen, bad luck if it goes wrong. I have three of these sandwiches, so number two must be better and number three, well….lets not do any predictions. We’ll see……

HI
You should enjoy this - it comes under my 'go with the flow' umbrella. No restrictions just let it flow and see how it develops.
Thanks for you blog comment too. It has been a long journey to finally holding the book n my hands.
Cheers

The exhibition sounds exciting with those artists. Have fun with following the lines. It looks good so far.
